Business Continuity Services

On 1st July 2007, the new solicitors code of conduct rules 5.01(1)(K) and (L) relate to the “Continuation of the practice of the firm in the event of absences and emergencies”, and the “Management of Risk”.

The code of conduct requires UK law firms to implement effective risk and business continuity management within their organisations.

A main area of business continuity management is what happens to a firm’s Communications in the event of an emergency, fault, or problem which ceases normal call handling.

Legaltx provides a simple bespoke service at a fraction of the cost of other continuity solutions.

Completely flexible, destination phone numbers can be added or amended virtually immediately. Programming of voice mail and notifications can be completed within seconds via a web portal or phone call.

How does it work?

One call, fax or email to our support centre, and we report the fault to BT Openreach then manage the fault until completion.

A divert is applied to your main inbound number directing calls to any five numbers or group of numbers you choose. This can be landline, mobile or international.

Your choice of sequential ring group (busy no answer will go to the next number in the group), or open ring group (all devices ring at the same time) can be applied. In-bound faxes will be sent to an email address of your choice as a PDF or forwarded to an alternative fax line. A bespoke voicemail is set up with your own recorded message so that any unanswered calls are forwarded to an answer machine.

All calls are logged on a web assistance page for you to review during or after the event. All voicemails are recorded and stored on the web as well as being forwarded to your email as a wav file.
